Lou Harrison
This section features correspondence and photographs referencing the 54 year friendship between Remy Charlip and composer Lou Harrison. It includes correspondence between the them as a couple in the late 1940s and early 1950s, when Lou was at Black Mountain College, through his move to California. Remy taught Lou calligraphy and many of the letters between them are penned in that style. The collection also features video recordings of their collaborations, audio recordings, drawings and dedications on record album covers that Lou gave to Remy.
